General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. will hold its first Blue Magic Netherlands event in Eindhoven on Nov. 19.

The conference will provide Dutch startups with partnership and funding opportunities to support their efforts to develop advanced dual-use technologies, GA-ASI said.

During BMN, the aerospace company and its partners, which include Brainport Development Eindhoven, Lockheed Martin Ventures and Brabant Development Agency, will accept pitches on innovative solutions that could potentially revolutionize commercial and defense technologies. The proposals should focus on emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, machine learning, autonomy, advanced materials, advanced manufacturing, sensors and space.

According to Brad Lunn, managing director for strategic finance at GA-ASI, the upcoming event will bring a collaborative environment for technology ideation to the Netherlands.

“Our goal is to provide a single forum for sharing ideas and implementation strategies that can shape the course of technology and defense systems and ultimately make the world safer,” he explained.

The BMN event will conduct panel discussions and allow the participants to connect with technology and business leaders, GA-ASI said.
