Accenture has announced the completion of its purchase of Intellera Consulting, an Italian company that specializes in public sector consultancy services.
The acquisition brings 1,400 professionals from Intellera, which has main offices in Rome and Milan, into Accenture’s workforce. The multidisciplinary services Intellera extends to its customers include facilitating organizational transformation and navigating access to European Union funding.
Earlier in April, Mauro Macchi, Accenture Italia chairman and CEO, described the caliber of Intellera services as “an excellent fit.”
“As we continue to focus on serving modern, responsible, citizen-oriented government, integrating new talent and skills from Intellera will expand our capabilities to deliver innovation and transformation for our public service clients,” he added.
Andrea Gabardo, Intellera CEO, anticipates the “incredible synergies” with the company joining Accenture. “Our skills, energy and enthusiasm now have a new home and our ability to support the crucial transformation journey undertaken by the public administration, health care and public services of our country has been strengthened,” he said in a statement when the company first announced the deal.
The Intellera transaction was completed just five months after Accenture announced its acquisition of Customer Management IT and SirfinPA, two other Italian companies also providing services to the public sector.
