Thales, Indra to Jointly Develop New Defense Capabilities for International Markets

thales and indra agreement

Thales has signed an agreement with technology company Indra to jointly develop new defense offerings for Spanish customers and other markets around the world.

As part of the agreement, the companies established a joint steering committee that will define and oversee the implementation of strategies, find opportunities, and create working groups whenever necessary.

“Technological changes occur at a non-linear speed, and companies must collaborate and co-create to equip customers with the necessary capabilities in this fast-evolving environment,” said Pascale Sourisse, senior executive vice president of international development at Thales.

On cyber defense, Thales and Indra will work together on artificial intelligence data analysis and other programs within the European Union.

The France and Spain-based companies also plan to continue collaboration in communication systems. In 2021, Thales and Indra agreed to jointly develop the SYNAPS Multipurpose tactical radio for the Spanish and French Armed Forces.

The partnership supports a stronger European defense industrial base.
