Northrop Grumman has appointed retired U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Frank Morley as vice president of its Asia-Pacific operations.
Through a LinkedIn post, Northrop said Morley will lead the defense contractor’s expansion efforts in the region, including cultivating defense partnerships.
Morley began his extensive career in the Navy as a F/A-18 Hornet pilot, participating in operations such as Southern Watch, Desert Fox and Iraqi Freedom. As a test pilot with Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 23, he became the fifth pilot to fly the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and the first to land it on a ship.
Morley’s LinkedIn profile includes his roles as program manager for the Navy’s Hornet and EA-18G Growler programs from 2011 to 2015 and as vice commander of Naval Air Systems Command and director of Navy International Programs. In 2021, he assumed the position of principal military deputy for the assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development and acquisition.
