The US-UAE Business Council, an organization dedicated to promoting greater trade and investment between the two nations, has added American aerospace and space contractor Redwire as its latest member.
Redwire is among the businesses that have benefitted from the United Arab Emirates’ growing investment in space. The Jacksonville, Florida-based company has supplied space technologies for several missions, including the sixth Roll-Out Solar Array for the International Space Station and the BioFabrication facility for the first bioprinting of a human knee in space.
“No country has done more in a shorter amount of time in space than the UAE. Their progress and accomplishments have been unparalleled,” said Redwire Chief Growth Officer Mike Gold. “As a member of the US-UAE Business Council, we are excited to further develop the relationship between the Emirates and America in space, taking our long-standing friendship on Earth and extending it to the final frontier.”
The company’s addition to the business council is expected to expand its presence in the Middle East and help further develop the UAE’s relationship with the U.S. in the space sector.
