Thales Names Nokia’s Phil Siveter as New UK Chief Executive

Phil Siveter, chief executive of Nokia United Kingdom & Ireland, will replace Alex Creswell as the new CEO at Thales UK starting in November. Creswell will also step down as chairman of Thales UK but will remain with the company as group advisor and a member of its advisory panel and the board of Thales Australia.

Siveter has two decades of leadership experience in the technology industry. He has been a Nokia executive since August 2017 and was previously head of the public sector at Ciena. His industry experience also included time spent as sales director for international defense and aerospace at BT Global Services, head of projects at Sirocom, and project manager at Nortel Networks and Energis.

Siveter currently serves on the board of the Finnish-British Chamber of Commerce. He was previously an adviser for the Beyond Boyle Foundation and the Social Enterprise for Berkshire.

Commenting on his appointment at Thales UK, Siveter said he feels “privileged to be part of this strong, people centric organization that is delivering cutting-edge technology, critical to UK infrastructure and contributes to a safer, more competitive and more sustainable U.K.”
