Infleqtion has secured a Phase II quantum technology exploit contract from the Australian Army to participate in the Quantum Technology Challenge at the Land Forces 2024 International Land Defence Exposition and demonstrate its latest quantum hardware and software innovations.
Under the contract, Infleqtion will collaborate with the military service and Sydney-based quantum computing company Diraq to make quantum computation more secure and trustworthy through quantum physically unclonable functions, improving quantum systems’ reliability and resistance against potential threats.
The company will use its Superstaq quantum software to generate prototype codes and designs and develop QPUFs that help detect and prevent attacks, including device spoofing and data falsification.
Infleqtion will showcase its solutions at the QTC exhibition during the Land Forces 2024 Chief of Army Symposium at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sept. 11 and 12.
The Phase II contract builds on a previous award under which Infleqtion participated in the 2023 QTC, focused on demonstrating how quantum technologies can address Army operational challenges.
“We applaud the Australian Army for its progress in leveraging Australia’s strategic strength in quantum technology research and emerging quantum industry to drive toward an early quantum advantage,” said Pranav Gokhale, vice president of quantum software at Infleqtion. “We look forward to continuing to play a key role in providing quantum solutions to enhance Australia’s national security needs.”
