Voyager Space Joins Spaceport Nova Scotia’s Launch Infrastructure Development

Denver, Colorado-based Voyager Space will support the establishment of Spaceport Nova Scotia‘s launch support infrastructure as an owner-authorized representative.

According to Maritime Launch Services, the developer of the spaceport in the east coast of Canada, it will tap the engineering, design and fabrication capabilities of Voyager’s Exploration Segment to establish the infrastructure.

Jeffrey Manber, Voyager Space president of international and space stations, said the company is excited to help build a world-class space launch facility. “Our team’s extensive experience in building customer-focused commercial space systems positions us to deliver exceptional value to help Maritime Launch,” he added.

Founded in 2019, Voyager Space as the spaceport’s first OAR will also support its Canadian partner in analyzing and integrating client requirements into the Nova Scotia site.

Voyager’s partnership with Maritime Launch follows the recent signing of a Technology Safeguards Agreement between Canada and the United States for space technology cooperation between the two countries, including U.S. space launches from Canada and the development of related special equipment.

Stephen Matier, Maritime Launch president and CEO, cited the TSA as “instrumental” to the company securing access to the expertise required in its spaceport initiative.

“Selecting Voyager Space as our first owner-authorized representative will ensure Spaceport Nova Scotia is well positioned to meet the design and development needs of our launch clients,” he said.
