Salesforce has established its first artificial intelligence center in London.

According to Zahra Bahrololoumi, U.K. and Ireland CEO at Salesforce, the company chose London to emphasize its commitment to working closely with its partners and customers in a fast-growing region for AI.

AI has the potential to drive major growth for U.K. businesses, with the U.K. AI market predicted to reach over $1 trillion by 2035. To realize this opportunity, industry-leading experts must work together to develop innovative solutions and overcome obstacles,” the chief executive said.

The new facility is part of the software company’s five-year, $4 billion plan to invest in AI innovation and growth in Britain.

According to a 2023 AI market intelligence report from the U.S. International Trade Administration, the U.K. is the third-largest AI market in the world, next to the United States and China.

The report indicates that various sectors in the British nation are adopting AI solutions, mostly for data management and analysis.

While Salesforce already offers AI-powered tools for such purposes, the company is in advanced talks to acquire data management software firm Informatica. Informatica provides a data layer with its AI-enabled Intelligent Data Management Cloud.
