Owl Cyber Defense Enters Australia, NZ Markets With GME Agreement

GME, a Sydney-based communication technology company, has signed a memorandum of understanding for the distribution of Owl Cyber Defense’s cybersecurity solutions in Australia and New Zealand. Formerly known as Owl Computing Technologies, Owl Cyber Defense is based in Columbia, Maryland.

The MOU’s delivery and support mechanism will be based in Australia and cover Owl’s cybersecurity solutions, which are exportable and certified by the U.S. National Security Agency.

According to GME, the agreement builds on the two companies’ commitment to support the Five Eyes intelligence alliance of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.

“GME electronic and radio products have been keeping Australians safe and connected for many decades,” Chris Rule, GME’s defense and security general manager, said in a statement.

“Providing the electronics underpinning national defense is core business for GME, and we can do so at the speed and scale needed by customers to deploy these products in the tactical domains of sea, land and air.”
