Saab Receives $410.7M Defense Equipment Order From Western Government Customer

Defense and security company Saab will supply its defense systems and equipment to an unidentified Western country government

The order is worth approximately $410.7 million with deliveries expected from 2025 to 2027.

The Swedish company did not specify which of its offerings will be provided to the customer due to circumstances concerning national security interests. However, according to Saab, its Dynamics and Surveillance business areas will deliver the acquired technology.

“We are proud to be able to contribute to our customers’ safety and we continue to see a great interest in our world-leading products and solutions,” Saab President and CEO Micael Johansson said in a statement.

Saab is expanding its capacity to meet demands for its weapons systems globally. The company recently secured clearance from the government of India to build a manufacturing facility in the South Asian nation. The site will produce the latest generation of its Carl-Gustaf M4 rifles to support the Indian Army and other armed forces across Asia.
