Northrop Grumman and Serco are collaborating to develop advanced live, virtual and constructive training solutions for the British Army’s Collective Training Transformation Programme.

The joint effort supports the CTTP’s objective of building the Army Collective Training System, which the British Army will use to prepare soldiers for future warfare scenarios, Northrop Grumman said.

Under the strategic partnership, the companies will combine their experience and modern training technologies to design innovative and large-scale training solutions that would boost the service’s mission readiness.

Northrop Grumman’s LVC training platform and Serco’s expertise in infrastructure management, real-life support and logistics will serve as the foundation of the targeted training system.

In a statement, Doug Umbers, managing director of Serco’s UK defense business, said the collaborative effort provides a deeper understanding of the British Army’s requirements. The insights, including the company’s expertise and capabilities, will help design a solution that satisfies the customer’s training needs, he noted.

Nick Chaffey, CEO of Northrop Grumman’s UK operations, added that with Serco’s support, the company will deliver immersive training technologies that will prepare British soldiers for future warfighting challenges.
