The U.S. Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems recently hosted an industry day for its ongoing Foreign Military Sales–Army Case Execution System solicitation.
During the Sept. 7 event, the program office received feedback and recommendations from potential industry partners and answered questions from participants.
The Army said the solicited input would inform the government’s draft other transaction authority.
According to the service, the FMS-ACES program wants to work with capable companies in prototyping commercially available software solutions and integrated applications.
Under the effort, the required technologies will power a case implementation and closure system that will support the PEO’s mission of providing FMS case logistics, financials and close-out services to the Army, the Department of Defense and the United States’ international allies, the military branch added.
In his speech during the event, Kevin Curry, project manager at Defense Integrated Business Systems, discussed the program’s objective of building new solutions enabled by emerging technologies.
He noted that FMS-ACES will deliver iterative capabilities to users, maximize flexibility and agility, implement DevSecOps and lean practices, and design metrics to keep the program on course.
The program is designed to adjust its process, documentation and decision points to meet users’ evolving requirements immediately, Curry said.
The Army launched the FMS-ACES solicitation in September, a program it projects to achieve full operational capability in 2024.
