Singapore-based ST Engineering has received $74 million in orders for 155 mm and 40 mm ammunition from NATO-aligned customers.

According to the company, the contracts, finalized between April and June, highlight international defense clients’ growing confidence in its advanced solutions.

Kok Ann Lim, president of land systems at ST Engineering, noted that the organization’s defense products serve as a guarantee of security and stability for countries across the globe.

“These new contracts not only reflect our position as a trusted partner within the NATO community but also demonstrate our defense expertise in meeting the evolving needs of modern artillery operations,” Lim said.

ST Engineering’s 155 mm ammunition boasts an extended-range high-explosive projectile and modular charge system for gun howitzers with 39- and 52-caliber barrels.

The system, compliant with NATO requirements to ensure interoperability and reliability, can engage targets at a range of 32 km using 155 mm/39-caliber guns or up to 39 km with 155 mm/52-caliber guns.

On the other hand, the arms maker has 58 versions of the 40 mm ammunition. The system can be customized to meet customers’ specific operational requirements.

The contract wins follow news of NATO beginning preparations to take a lead role in coordinating weapons deliveries to the Ukrainian armed forces, which rely heavily on the 155 mm system to defend against a Russian invasion.
