Washington, D.C.-based engineering and technology company Ensco said it has secured a contract to deploy its MicroSearch contactless vehicle sensor security inspection tool in critical infrastructures across Australia.

The announcement did not disclose the contract details but indicated that the deal was in partnership with CTG Security Matrix, Ensco’s exclusive reseller based in Adelaide, South Australia.

Jeff Stevens, Ensco president, said the contract shows the company’s global dedication to delivering advanced security solutions. “The MicroSearch contactless vehicle sensors not only enhance security but also significantly reduce the manpower required for thorough vehicle inspections,” he said. He added that Ensco is proud of its collaboration with CTG in introducing the technology in Australia.

MicroSearch is designed to detect human presence in vehicles through sensors that track subtle heartbeat vibrations. It features a contactless approach to ensure safety and easy inspection.

According to Ensco, MicroSearch has been deployed in critical infrastructures worldwide, including correctional facilities and border checkpoints. The company exhibited MicroSearch at the June 2023 Corrections Technology Association Summit in Fort Myers, Florida, where correction agencies joined to learn about emerging security technologies.
