Marshall will continue to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the Lockheed Martin C-130J aircraft fleets of the Royal Danish Air Force and the Royal Norwegian Air Force for an additional two years.
Under the renewed agreements, Marshall will perform depth maintenance — primarily C, C2, and D checks — at its Cambridge facility in the United Kingdom. Both air forces operate four C-130J aircraft, which are used for personnel and equipment transport, humanitarian operations, medical airlift, special operations, and disaster relief.
These extensions build upon long-term partnerships, with Norway initially becoming a customer in 1977 and Denmark in 1986. According to Marshall, support for the fleets of both nations has been jointly negotiated since 2012 through a collaborative procurement process involving the Danish and Norwegian defense logistics organizations.
“We will continue to cultivate these long-standing relationships, working with the evolving needs of both customers as we provide high-quality, low-risk depth maintenance with industry-leading turnaround times,” said Chris Dare, Marshall’s MRO services and solutions director.
This latest development follows recent milestones for the maintenance provider, including securing its first contract with the U.S. Army to design and supply a specialized container for the service’s Combat Capabilities Development Command Chemical Biological Center. Additionally, Marshall was recognized by Lockheed Martin as the world’s first authorized center of excellence for center wing box replacements on the C-130 Hercules tactical airlifter.
