Pratt & Whitney, an East Hartford, Connecticut-based aerospace company under RTX, has received a $65.8 million contract from Saudi Arabia’s Middle East Propulsion Co. to support the F100 engine maintenance of the Royal Saudi Air Force‘s F-15 Eagle tactical fighter aircraft.

The task order from MEPC, the Saudi Ministry of Defense’s main contractor, calls for spare parts supply and engine sustainment services. Pratt & Whitney’s work on its contract started in January 2024 and will end by the second half of 2025.

According to the RTX company, a strategic integration with MEPC and RSAF will enable Pratt & Whitney to readily acquire engine data and inventory management processes for the Saudi F-15s. The insights gained will drive its tasks in forecasting, technical support and material delivery.

Josh Goodman, senior director for the F100 program at Pratt & Whitney, described the company’s service deliveries under the contract as “a more proactive and comprehensive sustainment solution,” providing RSAF with across-the-board efficiencies and better affordability.

In a February interview with the FlightGlobal news website, he said Pratt & Whitney expects to support the F100 for another 50 years as the engine continues to power both old and new platforms, including the F-16 and hypersonic aircraft.
