U.K.-based NSSLGlobal said it has secured a contract to supply satellite communications services and technology to Germany‘s Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance.
The contract calls for the delivery of portable satcom to enable 24/7 connectivity for the office, known as BBK for short. NSSLGlobal said it will also provide voice and data communications technical support to BBK teams during their emergency operations. The company noted that its INSIGHT business management portal will allow German authorities to track all interactions in real time, enabling full-scale monitoring and control and data recording.
Sally-Anne Ray, NSSLGlobal group CEO, conveyed the company’s commitment to providing a secure solution to a vital government organization during emergencies in Germany. “Using our best-of-breed approach, we always take care to fit the solution to each set of requirements, however demanding, and look forward to developing this important partnership,” she said.
In January, NSSLGlobal also partnered with Dataport, an IT service provider for public administration in Germany, to help boost its communication management services, particularly during crisis situations.
