ST Engineering has appointed Jeffrey Lam as group chief operating officer.
As group COO, Lam will enhance operational and cost efficiencies, ensure workplace safety and promote synergistic collaboration in the company. Lam will perform the responsibilities associated with his new role in addition to the existing work he has been doing as president of the group’s commercial aerospace business and as a member of the Group Executive Committee.
“With Jeffrey assuming the role of COO to drive the group’s continuous improvement initiatives, we are poised to accelerate our journey towards operational excellence, ensuring our agility in the evolving market landscape,” said Vincent Chong, ST Engineering’s group president and CEO.
Lam has served the company since 2018, when he joined as aerospace deputy president.
In 2020, he was named president of the aerospace sector, overseeing the company’s growth in original equipment manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft and aircraft systems, and aviation management.
According to his profile on LinkedIn, before joining ST Engineering, Lam held leadership positions at the company’s subsidiaries, including ST Aerospace Engines.
