Bombardier Defense Expands Asia-Pacific Business With New Australia Office; Steve Patrick Quoted

Bombardier Defense has opened a new office in Adelaide, Australia, a move that is expected to further expand the company’s footprint in the Asia Pacific.

The new workspace at Lot Fourteen, an innovation hub in the South Australia region, will provide additional client support, allowing customers to explore and experience the company’s portfolio of aircraft, especially the Challenger and Global lines designed for civilian, military and hybrid missions.

“This new office will enable us to provide more resources and increased flexibility in the region and give us a greater opportunity to showcase our outstanding missionized options to potential customers,” said Steve Patrick, vice president of Bombardier Defense.

The Canada-headquartered company operates the Melbourne Service Centre, which opened in September 2022. Additionally, it maintains 10 service facilities across six countries worldwide.

Several Bombardier Medical Evacuation and Search and Rescue aircraft are in service across Australia.

According to Stephen Mullighan, Australia’s minister for defense and space industries, the aircraft manufacturer’s presence in South Australia is “a testament to the growing opportunities for defense companies that exist here, which will open doors for Bombardier to provide airborne capabilities to national defense and national security projects.”
