Multinational defense technology company QinetiQ has secured a four-year framework agreement as a supplier to the U.K. Ministry of Defence’s Digital and IT Professional Services structure under the Crown Commercial Service.

QinetiQ said the DIPS tasks, with an estimated value of $1.5 billion, will be supplied to Defence Digital, an MoD unit focused on effective digital and IT implementation across the ministry’s military and business operations. The DIPS framework, which MoD established through CCS assistance, became operational in November.

The company will be the prime supplier on two of the six DIPS lots, with cybersecurity, crypto, security operations and integrated systems comprising one of its tasks. It will also be a subcontracting partner on two other DIPS lots, which include enterprise and tech architecture and intelligence solutions services.

James Willis, QinetiQ’s UK Intelligence chief executive, said being chosen as a leading DIPS contractor “allows us to leverage our well-established expertise in defense and security across air, sea, land, cyber domains to develop exciting new solutions that will deliver vital mission capability.”
