Systecon’s Opus Evo Solution to Support Australian Defense Program Optimization

Systecon, a Stockholm, Sweden-based consulting and software company, has announced that it will provide its Opus Evo software to optimize a major Australian defense program’s tactical capabilities.

The company’s announcement released on Wednesday did not specify the Australian program, but it disclosed in December a partnership with the Australian Department of Defence’s Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group on streamlining defense acquisitions and sustainment processes through Systecon solutions.

According to Systecon, Opus Evo is part of its Opus Suite analysis platform addressing the dynamic environment of tactical optimization and mission engineering for short to medium deployment. The company said the suite provides its users with modeling, analytical and simulation capabilities to ensure that complex defense systems are cost-efficient and performing optimally.

The company added that Opus Evo fills tactical decision-making’s need for detailed scenario analysis of such factors as mission schedule and other time-dependent variables.

Andrew Perkins, Systecon Australia country manager, said Opus Evo enables its operators to select a logistic support solution for maximum mission success even with minimal or reduced logistics reach.
