Austin, Texas-based Ultra Intelligence & Communications has appointed Dawn Ohlson as VP Engineering for Ultra Cyber. Ohlson announced the move in a post on her LinkedIn page.
A master of engineering and computer science graduate from the University of Oxford, she brings to Ultra I&C over three years of experience as technical director of national security solutions at Northrop Grumman’s London office.
Her previous work also includes more than 16 years at global technology company Thales, where she served as Thales Avionics’ engineering director for two years and UK systems director for three years, among other roles.
The executive’s LinkedIn profile shows a career that began at Racal Avionics in 1994, where she worked for six years before moving to Thales. It highlights over 15 years of experience in senior technical functions in both the United Kingdom and France.
In her post, Ohlson said she is also set to start her first term in October as deputy president of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, a professional group with 169,000 members in over 150 countries.
