Virginia-based aerospace and defense company V2X will support Iraq’s F-16 program under a cost-plus-fixed-fee undefinitized contract awarded by the U.S. Air Force.

The contract, initially valued at $118 million, requires the company to provide support services at BG Ali Flaih Air Base. According to V2X, the work associated with the contract, awarded under the Foreign Military Sales program, is expected to last for five years. Full contract terms will be finalized by the end of the year.

Panel discussions at the Potomac Officers Club’s 2025 Air and Space Defense Summit, scheduled for July 31, will provide insights into current and evolving opportunities in aerial and space military technologies. Register now to secure your place.

Sole-Source Contract

Per a June announcement from the U.S. Department of Defense, the Iraqi foreign military sale is a sole-source acquisition, and approximately $57.8 million will be obligated upon the contract’s award.

V2X’s deliverables under the contract include base operations support and life support services. Ken Shreves, V2X senior vice president of mission support, stated that the company is honored to be chosen to provide services in the Iraqi Air Force’s “high-stakes environment.” “This award is a testament to the strength of V2X’s full-spectrum capabilities,” he said.

The V2X services portfolio combines the strengths of Vectrus and Vertex, two defense and aerospace contractors that merged in July 2022.
