Ultra Maritime has appointed Liz Baker as vice president of international business development to manage its businesses in NATO countries and other global markets. Ultra Maritime’s worldwide operations cover 15 locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.
Before joining the company, Baker spent nine years at Thales, serving leadership roles in business planning, export business development and strategic accounts, according to her LinkedIn profile. She was also previously a consultant at QinetiQ and the lead for a U.K. government program at Airbus Defence & Space.
Baker holds a master’s from Corpus Christi College and a diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Baker will report to Mark Kenny, senior vice president of strategy, technology and development. In a statement, the executive emphasized that the timing of the appointment is critical for the company, noting, “Ultra’s solutions and innovations have such a significant role to play in protecting us and our allies around the globe.”
One of Ultra Maritime’s most recent contracts is to provide the latest generation of sonobuoys for the U.S. Navy.
