Houston, Texas-based KBR, a global provider of science, technology and engineering services, has secured a $100 million contract from the U.K. Ministry of Defence to supply the British Army with a fleet of heavy equipment transporters.
KBR said the deliveries for the Interim Capability Solution contract for three years will include providing the maintainers and operators to move strategic cargoes, such as the British Army’s Challenger 2 tanks.
The task order also covers training and deploying the U.K.’s Sponsored Army Reservists to support the HET operations. KBR has been providing HET support services for 20 years. According to the company’s website, its subsidiary FTX Logistics handles the services.
In a statement, Paul Kahn, president of KBR Government Solutions International, expressed pride in the company contributing to the MoD’s “unique flexibility in providing critical operational support to its troops and allies.”
In November 2023, another KBR unit, Frazer-Nash Consultancy, booked a modified contract from the U.K. Department for Energy Security and Net Zero to continue supporting the country’s $1.2 billion clean energy program.
