The United Kingdom’s Defence and Security Accelerator is seeking proposals on test and evaluation methods to help ensure the safety and value of deployed British defense and security capabilities.
DASA said the project values for bids on its new Investment Focus Area, dubbed Unlocking the True Potential of Test and Evaluation for Defence, range from $63,000 to $250,000, with a maximum of $626,000 each financial year. The new IFA is part of a broader test and evaluation program of the Ministry of Defence to ensure the speedy validation of defense technologies.
The new proposals DASA hopes to receive include digital modes for systems calibration on the latest threats and innovative mobile test and evaluation methods for warfighters. New ways to test and evaluate capabilities on agility are also on the IFA shopping list.
The test and evaluation proposals have to address issues for which no solution is yet known. A project lasts approximately six months, and a prototype is expected to be delivered at the end of the contract.
