QinetiQ US has named Andrew DelFavero as vice president for capture management. DelFavero, who brings over two decades of business development, capture strategy and project management experience, announced the appointment on social media.
According to his LinkedIn profile, DelFavero joined QinetiQ US after nearly two years of serving as Peraton’s senior director of business development. Before Peraton, he was a senior director of capture management at Science Applications International Corp. His industry experience also includes time spent as a capture executive at Leidos, a senior business development manager at Northrop Grumman and an imagery analyst at BAE Systems.
In a podcast interview in January, DelFavero, a former imagery analyst for the U.S. Army, discussed the leadership learnings he gained from his military and private sector experience. The executive highlighted the importance of creating a people-first culture, adapting leadership styles to the needs of team members and adding empathy to leadership approaches. According to DelFavero, he learned that his success as a capture manager and business development head depends on the success of his team members.
