QinetiQ US has appointed Charles Faulkner as vice president of business development for national and global security solutions. Faulkner, previously an account executive at ICF, where he played a role in expanding company operations in federal markets and providing clients with technology, governance and cybersecurity solutions, announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post.
He brings to his new role more than a decade of public and private sector experience. According to his LinkedIn profile, Faulkner served as senior adviser for legislative affairs focused on advanced U.S. foreign policy and foreign assistance programs at the Department of State from October 2003 to January 2009.
He also took on the principal deputy assistant secretary role at the agency in 2017 before moving to the Department of Homeland Security as chief of staff of the Office of Legislative Affairs in 2019. In 2020, he was named senior adviser and acting director of legislative affairs at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
The executive started his private sector career in 2009 at Science Applications International Corp. as a senior analyst supporting the operational goals of the U.S. Strategic Command. Following his departure from SAIC, he joined Booz Allen Hamilton as an associate responsible for coordinating activity between the Defense Intelligence Agency and the National-Geospatial Intelligence Agency.
His industry experience also included time spent as vice president of government affairs at BGR Group.
Faulkner has served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserve since August 2006.
