The U.K. Defence Equipment and Support, an independent unit of the British Ministry of Defense, has appointed Dallas, Texas-based consultancy firm Jacobs as a program partner in the project and operational delivery of equipment and support across the MoD defense network.
Jacobs said the project is administered via DE&C’s Project Delivery Partner-Successor framework of its Equinox joint venture with the U.K.-based professional services company Turner & Townsend Partners. The joint venture covers an initial five-year framework, which starts in March and provides two one-year extension options.
The DE&S tasks, which also call for advisory services, will be carried out via Equinox’s 27 supply chain network. The 50/50 Equinox joint venture has mobilized defense and infrastructure experts and hired 745 people to generate delivery innovations for DE&S projects and programs, according to Turner & Townsend.
Steve Arnette, Jacobs executive vice president and 2023 Wash100 awardee, said the new task shows the trust the company has earned under the PDP framework it has been engaged in since 2018. “Our support is seamlessly integrated into client teams, creating dynamic relationships built on trust from previous successful mission-critical projects,” he added.
