Red Cat is attending the World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to provide daily demonstrations of the capabilities of its Teal 2 drone system. The event will run from Feb 4 to 8.
Assembled by Red Cat subsidiary Teal Drones, Teal 2 boasts a night vision camera and artificial intelligence capabilities to support military missions in different operational environments.
The man-portable drone solution has been awarded certification from the Department of Defense and the Federal Aviation Administration, Red Cat said.
According to Red Cat CEO Jeff Thompson, Teal 2’s host of powerful features and affordable price tag make it an ideal solution for government customers and private organizations.
The company’s participation at the World Defense Show will introduce the UAS in the Middle East for potential applications supporting public safety and border security, he added.
Earlier in late January, Red Cat announced that it had secured a deal with the U.S. Army to compete with a company in prototyping a small unmanned aerial system. Under the service’s Short Range Reconnaissance program, the company will integrate advanced AI capabilities into its next-generation drone to provide ground troops with enhanced situational awareness.
