KNDS Appoints Former Airbus Exec as Head of Communications

Véronique Creissels KNDS appointment

KNDS has appointed former Airbus and Thales exec Véronique Creissels as chief communications officer, reporting directly to CEO Jean-Paul Alary. According to KNDS, Creissels will lead corporate communications efforts to strengthen the company’s image as a European defense leader, engage stakeholders and support its long-term vision.

“As someone who has always believed in building bridges across countries and cultures, KNDS European DNA and its mission to contribute to European sovereignty resonates deeply with me,” Creissels said in a LinkedIn post announcing her new role.

Alary welcomed the appointment, citing Creissels’ international experience and sector knowledge as key assets. “At a time when the company is experiencing profound transformation, she will bring to KNDS her vast experience leading communications at innovative global companies, her knowledge of the defence sector and her strong international background,” Alary said in a statement.

Creissels brings over 30 years of experience in corporate communications. She previously served as senior vice president of corporate communications at Airbus and VP of Group Communications at Vallourec, and held key communications roles at Thales Aerospace and Defence, Faurecia and Alstom.

The executive move comes as KNDS advances its role in European defense. It recently established MGCS Project Company GmbH in Cologne with Rheinmetall and Thales. The new entity will lead the next phase of the Franco-German Main Ground Combat System program, which aims to replace the Leopard 2 and Leclerc tanks by 2040.
