Emlyn Taylor, former group managing director of Lockheed Martin UK’s rotary and mission systems, has announced his appointment as the company’s chief operating officer in a LinkedIn post.
Taylor, a 24-year veteran of Lockheed, also currently serves as chairman of the board of the U.K. arm of the Bethesda, Maryland-based company, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Previous roles Taylor held in Lockheed UK include RMS program delivery director, cyber and AI/data analytics director, systems solutions managing director, systems solutions technical director/chief architect, and distribution technologies chief engineer.
Before joining Lockheed, Taylor served for over 15 years as executive director of PRODOS Computers. He also had stints as senior consultant for BAE Systems and software consultant for IBM, GEC-Marconi and Westinghouse Signals. In addition, he spent more than five years at Siemens Plessey Defence Systems, where his last role was principal software engineer.
Meanwhile, at Lockheed Martin’s Maryland headquarters, Craig Martin, a two-time Wash100 awardee, was appointed as the company’s new vice president and chief technology officer.
