Canadian Commercial Corp. has secured a five-year $425 million firm-fixed-price contract from the U.S. Army to deliver loading, assembly and packing services in support of the military branch’s 105 mm projectile gun unit cartridges and M1 high explosive cartridges. 105 mm PGU cartridges are artillery ammunition usually used for training purposes. M1 HE cartridges are typically for ground support of troops or armored columns.

In a Monday award notice, the U.S. Department of Defense disclosed that Ottawa-based CCC will help identify a capable local business to deliver the requirements. As a government-to-government contracting organization, CCC helps Canadian companies supply DoD with made-in-Canada solutions.
The work location and funding for the logistics contract will be determined per order. The effort is expected to be completed by May 20, 2030. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois, will manage and execute the contract.
