The United States and the United Arab Emirates have established the US-UAE AI Acceleration Partnership framework, an initiative that aims to improve collaboration on advancing artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. The agreement also improves the process of UAE-based funds’ inward investments into the North American country.

Under the framework, the U.S. will launch several projects in the Middle Eastern nation, starting with a one-gigawatt AI data center that will form part of a planned 5GW UAE-U.S. artificial intelligence technology cluster. The 5GW campus in Abu Dhabi is a product of an agreement signed in May that will house U.S. hyperscalers and enterprises dedicated to serving the needs of developing countries.

Commenting on the AI partnership, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard W. Lutnick said the agreement will promote major investments in advanced semiconductors and data centers across the two countries. “By extending the world’s leading American tech stack to an important strategic partner in the region, this agreement is a major milestone in achieving President Trump’s vision for U.S. AI dominance,” he added.
