Parsons has secured two delivery partner contracts from the King Salman International Airport Development Company. The deal was announced Tuesday on the sidelines of the Saudi-U.S. Investment Forum in Riyadh.
The first order involves the delivery of airfield assets, including air traffic control towers, aircraft parking areas, runways and taxiways. The second award covers bridges, roads, tunnels and other landside infrastructure. Under the two contracts, Parsons will act as a project manager, providing design, permit and approval, and overall coordination support services.
KSIADC is planning to build a new airport in Riyadh. The airport will cover an area of 57 square kilometers, have six parallel runways, and be able to host up to 120 million passengers by 2030 and 185 million passengers by 2050.
Parsons Chair, President and CEO Carey Smith, a seven-time Wash100 winner and 4×24 member, said the new award continues her company’s long history of supporting the Mideast kingdom’s aviation sector, which started in 1958 with the construction of Dhahran Airport. “Parsons is committed to supporting KSIADC’s vision to redefine airports for the 21st century and beyond through delivering an enhanced traveler experience and creating the world’s premier logistics hub,” she added.
In December 2024, Parsons secured a contract from the kingdom’s Royal Commission for Riyadh City to develop 500 kilometers of new and upgraded roads in the capital. Under the deal, the company will act as the program management lead, overseeing all construction activities.
