Lockheed Martin has signed a new agreement with the Spanish Ministry of Defence to expand Spain’s role in producing the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement system.

The industrial cooperation agreement, announced Wednesday during FEINDEF 25 international defense and security conference in Madrid, allows Spanish companies Sener and Oesía Tecnobit to participate in the PAC-3 MSE supply chain. Sener will design and develop actuators while Oesía Tecnobit will manufacture specialized cables and harnesses.

Spain joined the PAC-3 MSE program and became its 16th partner nation earlier this year through a formal purchase agreement with the U.S. government. According to Lockheed, PAC-3 MSE provides advanced protection against tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, hypersonics, aircraft and other evolving threats.

“Allied industrial partnerships like this collaboration with Sener and Oesía Tecnobit are a win for our countries’ shared security interests and highlight Lockheed Martin’s commitment to strengthening Spanish defense capabilities,” said Brian Kubik, Lockheed’s PAC-3 programs vice president. “The inclusion of Sener and Oesía-Tecnobit in the PAC-3 MSE supply chain is a significant step forward in our efforts to support the defence industrial base of the U.S. and its allies.”

The expanded partnership with Spain comes as Lockheed Martin advances another project for the Spanish military, prototype builds of the SPY-7(V)2 radar for Madrid’s F-110 frigate program, with full production slated for early 2026.
