Cognyte Software, an Israel-based security analytics software company, is expanding its U.S. footprint with the acquisition of GroupSense, a digital risk protection services firm in Arlington, Virginia. The purchase cost of $4 million is in addition to a $5 million earnout based on the business’s future performance, Cognyte said in its purchase announcement Wednesday.
Founded in 2014, GroupSense provides customers with automated tools and human expertise to protect their digital assets from cyberattacks and threats. Its clients include state and local government organizations and commercial enterprises.
Following the acquisition, GroupSense clients will gain access to Cognyte’s advanced cyberthreat intelligence platform, designed to enhance operational security and brand integrity protection against increasingly sophisticated cyberthreats.
