Anduril Industries is set to expand its artificial intelligence-powered tactical compute and communications offerings under a definitive agreement to acquire Klas, an edge computing and tactical communications solutions provider.
The deal will integrate Anduril’s Lattice software, autonomy and sensor capabilities into Klas’ compute and networking infrastructure. This will provide customers with lightweight, mission-tailored systems that are faster to deploy, easier to maintain and more resilient in challenging situations.
If the acquisition pushes through, Klas’s 150 employees are expected to continue working from its locations in Ireland and the United States. It will also expand Anduril Industries‘ presence in new locations, including Australia, Japan and the United Kingdom.
Klas has been offering computing and connectivity solutions for various missions. Its Voyager product line was designed to overcome extreme temperatures, jamming and denied environments. It is currently integrated into Anduril’s Menace family of systems.
The acquisition, Anduril’s ninth since its inception in 2017, comes as the company positions itself as one of the viable contractors to support U.S. President Donald Trump’s Golden Dome missile defense shield project.
