Keysight Technologies has secured a contract with NATO’s Naval Forces Sensor and Weapons Accuracy Check Sites to enhance radar and electronic warfare testing capabilities across allied naval bases. The deal involves deploying the company’s radar target generators and EW threat simulators, supporting NATO in validating and maintaining sensor accuracy and electronic support measures systems.
Thierry Locquette, Keysight’s Europe, Middle East and Africa vice president and general manager, noted how critical accurate radar and ESM systems are in today’s contested electromagnetic environments. “Keysight is proud to provide the cutting-edge solutions necessary to enable NATO FORACS to maintain the highest levels of sensor performance, ensuring operational superiority across allied forces,” he said. The company manufactures electronics test and measurement equipment and software.
According to Keysight, the new systems can simulate precise radar signatures and complex threat environments, enabling high-fidelity performance assessments. Their modular, open-architecture design allows upgrades and supports lab and field deployment across multiple NATO sites.
“Our Radar Target Generator solution was developed in Europe, working closely with our local R&D and solution centers as well as with European technology partners to provide a highly realistic, flexible and future-ready test capability for NATO’s evolving defense needs,” Locquette said.
The FORACS award builds on Keysight’s growing partnerships in Europe. In March, the Santa Rosa, California-based company worked with French multinational Capgemini to validate 5G New Radio radio access networks for non-terrestrial networks using Keysight’s UeSIM and Propsim solutions. Earlier, Germany’s Deutsche Telekom tapped Keysight as the test partner for its Satellite Narrowband-Internet of Things Early Adopter Program, where Keysight provided a compliant testbed to accelerate secure, space-based IoT deployments.
