Databricks Upskills Australian State Workforce in AI

Databricks, a data and artificial intelligence company, has created a set of programs to upskill workers in Australia’s state government agencies amid the increasing adoption of AI-powered tools in the region.

The programs will benefit more than 100 workers in Queensland and New South Wales, who will receive Databricks certification and accreditation after completing the course. Those who graduate from the Databricks-backed initiative will be able to train their colleagues, creating an empowered workforce capable of taking advantage of the capabilities available on the Databricks Intelligence Platform.

Adam Beavis, vice president and country manager for Databricks in ANZ, highlighted the ecosystem of customers and partners in Oceania investing in unique uses of AI and data intelligence. “There’s no doubt there was a learning curve with data intelligence when AI burst into the scene, but we’re now seeing a real maturity from ANZ organizations where they are bringing to market AI projects and innovations that are globally best in class,” he said.
