The United Nations International Computing Centre has accepted artificial intelligence-powered solutions provider SandboxAQ as a founding member of the AI Hub, a primary AI solutions provider and resource center for the U.N. system and international partners.
The AI Hub will act as a center of excellence, gathering experts to assist the intergovernmental organization in using AI technology to create a positive impact on the world.
As a founding member, SandboxAQ will provide UNICC access to the AQtive Guard unified encryption management platform, which will help identify vulnerable cryptography using AI-enhanced cryptographic discovery services. UNICC Director Sameer Chauhan welcomed SandboxAQ’s addition to the AI Hub and highlighted the company’s quantum, AI and cybersecurity expertise.
Stefan Leichenauer, vice president of engineering at SandboxAQ, noted the AI Hub initiative’s value toward centralizing AI expertise while expressing SandboxAQ’s pride in supporting global challenges as a founding member.
“As AI continues to fundamentally transform all aspects of our daily lives and the global digital economy, we applaud the UNICC’s bold step to create a one-stop shop where all UN agencies and affiliates can find the AI expertise, resources and solutions they need to protect themselves from cyberattacks,” the executive said.
