Booz Allen Hamilton Partners With Singapore’s HTX on Technology Projects

HTX, the science and technology arm of Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs, is enhancing its Home Team’s capabilities under a memorandum of understanding with Booz Allen Hamilton. The agency said the focus areas for collaboration under the MOU signed last week cover cybersecurity, firefighting and forensic investigations.

Key Partnership Objectives

Five key goals were defined in the partnership, including improving HTX first responders’ safety and efficiency. A wearable technology project is lined up to address not only the heat stress emergency personnel deal with but also optimize their access to physiological data for sharper decision-making.

The cooperation also includes enhancing operational efficiency through artificial intelligence, digital twins, and other advanced technologies. In addition, HTX and Booz Allen will identify game-changing technologies, collaborate on research projects to activate an ecosystem for innovation, and work on stronger cybersecurity capabilities to create better defenses against evolving cyber threats.

Global Network Connections

The HTX Home Team is bringing its specialists in various fields, such as AI, robotics, biometrics, forensics, surveillance, and cybersecurity, into the Booz Allen partnership.

In October, Booz Allen’s senior cybersecurity leaders attended Singapore International Cyber Week to participate in discussions on cybersecurity best practices and current threats. In the same forum, the HTX Home Team presented the Smart Nation 2.0 innovation and technology solutions for future societal challenges, according to a LinkedIn post by Vincent Voci, director of global government relations and partnerships at Cloudflare.

Earlier, European tech company Idemia partnered with HTX on biometrics and forensics research and development. Under their innovation agreement, Idemia and HTX will jointly design and test solutions to secure the safety of Singapore’s citizens, residents and visitors.
