AeroVironment subsidiary Telerob has secured a major contract to supply the German Federal Armed Forces with 41 large telemax HT300 uncrewed ground vehicles. The telemax HT300 was chosen after a competitive procurement process to meet Berlin’s needs for explosive ordnance disposal and counter-improvised explosive device missions.
Florian Gruener, managing director of Telerob, highlighted the significance of the contract, calling it a milestone in the company’s 30-year history. “These next-generation systems will be built at our state-of-the-art facility in Ostfildern, Germany, delivering the precision, reliability and operational advantage that today’s missions demand,” the executive added.
AeroVironment said the HT300’s mobility, equipped with an advanced manipulator arm, makes it ideal for high-risk operations in challenging environments. The UGV model is part of AV’s expanding range of multi-domain uncrewed systems designed to improve force protection, effectiveness and safety.
AeroVironment acquired Telerob in 2020 to broaden its multi-domain uncrewed systems portfolio and global reach. Founded in 1994, Telerob provides comprehensive unmanned ground robotics solutions, including the telemax and tEODor EVO UGV families, transport vehicles and support services. Aside from EOD and counter-IED capabilities, Telerob’s all-terrain and rugged UGVs are also used in other dangerous missions, including hazardous materials handling and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threat assessment.
Telerob serves customers in 45 countries in the defense, homeland security and emergency response sectors.
