Valero Secures $200M DLA Contract to Deliver Diesel, Jet Fuel to Israel

Valero Marketing and Supply, a subsidiary of Texas-based petroleum refiner Valero Energy, has secured a potential $200 million contract from the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency to deliver EN590 diesel and JP8 jet fuel to Israel.

The Israeli military uses EN590 diesel fuel in its trucks and other equipment while the kerosene-based jet propulsion fuel JP-8 powers its aircraft inventory.

The award, part of a foreign military sale to Israel, will be financed by fiscal 2025 Army operations and maintenance and Foreign Military Sales funds. The contract has a one-year base period with a three-day carryover option and three additional one-year option periods.

Valero has a history of collaboration with DLA, having previously participated in a $3.5 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to supply a variety of fuels for military use.

Valero Energy is known for its low-carbon transportation fuels, corn ethanol production and renewable diesel production. The company’s refineries, located in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, contribute to a throughput capacity of 3.2 million barrels per day.
