Canadian IT and business consulting firm CGI has completed its acquisition of BJSS, a technology and engineering consultancy based in the United Kingdom. The move follows the signing of a share purchase agreement in January that formalized their commitment to the deal.
The acquisition is part of CGI’s expansion to enhance its capabilities in artificial intelligence, cloud and software engineering support to better meet customer needs.
With the completion of the transaction, BJSS’s team of 2,400 employees now becomes part of CGI’s extensive global network, which boasts 91,000 consultants. The integration not only strengthens CGI’s U.K. operations but also enriches its service offerings for clients across various sectors, including financial services, healthcare, retail and public sectors.
Since its establishment in 1993, BJSS has delivered large-scale, high-quality software systems and expert technical solutions to address complex challenges. The firm’s IT specialists excel in cloud and platform solutions, customer experience design and software engineering.
CGI UK & Australia President Tara McGeehan highlighted the benefits the company will reap from acquiring BJSS.
