Aerospace and defense sector veteran Claude Castan is set to head Cognizant company Belcan’s new office in Toulouse, France. The new aerospace and defense hub was launched as part of an initiative to ensure the company can better support its global customers’ growing demand.
Castan will lead a team that collaborates closely with Belcan’s global workforce of design, analysis and digitalization experts, ensuring the delivery of products that drive innovation, growth and productivity. The team will work from a space on the top floor of the Blagnac Airport Supplier Village.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Castan currently serves as Belcan’s strategic account manager, a position he assumed in August. Before joining the professional support services provider, he held several roles at Airbus, including vice president of propulsion engineering, VP of long-range program/chief engineer for France and program manager.
The executive was also VP of telecom industrial performance at Airbus Defense and Space from 2020 to 2022.
Belcan CEO Lance Kwasniewski expressed excitement over establishing a new office in an area known as the European capital city of aerospace. “Our team is committed to delivering value-added engineering solutions at the highest performance and competency levels that meet the unique needs of our clients in the region,” he added.
