Baird Hires Dan Bruton as Global Technology & Services Group Director

Baird has appointed Dan Bruton as a director in its Global Technology & Services group. Based in London, Bruton will focus on expanding the American financial services firm’s presence in Europe.

The executive joins Baird from RBC Capital Markets, where he oversaw cross-border business-to-business software transactions within the company’s Global Technology Investment Banking Group in Sydney. A British Army veteran, Bruton also worked at Barclays, leading the multinational bank’s technology, media and telecommunications team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Peter Kies, head of global technology and services investment banking at Baird, welcomed Bruton’s expertise and capabilities and the important role he will play in helping expand the company’s business in Europe’s software and tech-enabled services sectors.

Among the new director’s responsibilities is leading the firm’s Global Technology & Services platform, which currently has more than 130 investment bankers and has completed over 380 mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions since 2020.

Bruton’s appointment is the latest in Baird’s key appointment and expansion moves.

In January, Rodd Langenhagen joined as managing director in the company’s Global Investment Banking division under the Technology & Services Group. Baird has also expanded its wealth management presence with new advisory teams in Danvers, Massachusetts, and Scottsdale, Arizona.
