ZenaTech Sets Up Testing Facility in Turkey for US, NATO Drones

ZenaTech has finalized a lease for a drone testing facility in Turkey to evaluate the ZenaDrone 1000 model designed for U.S. and NATO defense applications. The Toronto-based manufacturer anticipates the facility will be fully operational by the first quarter of 2025.

ZenaTech CEO Shaun Passley emphasized Turkey’s strong reputation for innovation in the defense industry. “Having a testing facility in Turkey will accelerate the development of our U.S. defense and NATO models of the ZenaDrone 1000,” he said.” Importantly, it will help to advance our artificial intelligence drone swarm solutions and the Drone Command Center hub at the heart of missions.”

The facility will test various drone applications, including intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting, logistics and transportation. Additionally, it will support the development of ZenaTech’s Drone Command Center, a mobile unit designed to manage multiple drones simultaneously.

Establishing this new drone testing site follows ZenaTech subsidiary ZenaDrone’s recent expansion of its Arizona sales office to accommodate a U.S. manufacturing site for the AI-powered drones that comply with the National Defense Administration Act.
