Ericsson has appointed Enrique Garcia as the new head of mission critical networks and enterprise for its market area in Southeast Asia, Oceania and India. Starting March 1, Garcia will report to MOAI Head Andreas Vicente and will be responsible for leading Ericsson’s MCN performance across the region and developing new business opportunities.
Garcia brings over 15 years of industry experience to his new position. He played a key role in securing the partnership between Ericsson and MasOrange, which focused on Europe’s first open and programmable network integration. Additionally, he was instrumental in various railway, port and transport deals, Ericsson said.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Garcia previously served as Ericsson’s sales director, managing the Swedish company’s relationship with a major Spanish telecommunication operator. His background also includes managerial positions at Amazon Web Services and Vodafone.
Vicente expressed his confidence in Garcia to the team, emphasizing the strategic importance of his role for the region. “Based on Enrique’s deep understanding of the Ericsson business and his experience of working with enterprises across different industry verticals, I believe he can make a strong contribution to our business in the region,” he said in a statement.
